2018 is proving to be an impressive year for hip-hop and R&B music.

There has been a number of sensational releases already this year, including Migos’ Culture II and J.Cole’s unexpected arrival of his K.O.D album. New musical trends have emerged, while industry giants are setting impressive standards, on and off the mic. Still, 2018 is continuing to surprise us with hot new hip-hop and R&B.

With approaching projects across every month of the calendar, Vibestyle Blog have taken this opportunity to provide you with a list of anticipated albums up until the unknown – call it a Hip-Hop and R&B guide from us!


Post Malone – Beerbongs & Bentleys

Date: 27th April

Post Malone first teased his upcoming project back in 2017, though it appears to be in touching distance. Beerbongs & Bentleys is set to be longer than Psycho’s previous project, Stoney with a generous 18 tracklist; including hit singles Rockstar and Psycho.

Pusha T – King Push

Date: 25th May

If your a fan of Pusha T, you know he is the lyrical king of hip-hop among other righteous names of this time. Fellow G.O.O.D. Music comrade, Kanye West confirmed the date of Push’s album in April via Twitter, to be 25th May.

The fashion guru/musical genius released his last project in 2015, so we can expect a fruitful track list with excessive standards.

A$AP Rocky – Testing

Date: 25th MayAlthough the title of Flacko’s highly anticipated album was only recently announced, we can get a sense of the album’s theme from the artists social media activity leading up to the unannounced release date.

A$AP Rocky has teased the album quite a bit, including the following 15 second teaser, and 2 hit singles Bad Company, and A$AP Forever – both incorporating the same anticipated theme with the artwork.

Kanye West – Ye

Date: June 1st

This was the date Ye Tweeted on the 19th April, followed by another tweet which suggests his album will consist of a short 7 songs – a trend that several artists have been incorporating this year including The Weeknd’s My Dear Melancholy,. While little information has surfaced for this album, we know G.O.O.D. Music have been busy.

Kanye West & Kid Kudi – Kids See Ghost

Date: 8th June

Another album teased by Yeezy himself. Though, this unique collaboration between Kanye West and Kid Cudi appears to be what you fans are most excited for. The two artists have previously – and very successfully – collaborated for tracks including Welcome To Heartbreak, Gorgeous, Creepers and several more. Though, with developments in the hip-hop music industry, the album will undoubtedly be something bigger than the mentioned tracks.

Drake – Scorpion

Date: June 2018

While the specific date is yet to be announced, Drake has promised fans the release of his next album Scorpion to be released among what appears to be the hottest month for hip-hop and r&b album releases of 2018, June.

Drizzy has already been busy this year with the releases of hit singles Gods Plan, Diplomatic Immunity, and Nice for What. Though, with the wait for his upcoming project, we can expect more track releases as we approach the official release date.

Wiz Khalifa – Rolling Papers II

Date: 13th July

The video from hiphopnmore really says it all. Wiz Khalifa is set to release the second version of his Rolling Papers project which released in December of 2017. Not only does this express the artist’s recent grinding, but we can now expect a new project from the Wiz. Make sure you check out the artists, first Rolling Papers album before the release date of ‘II.

Jacquees – 4275

Date: 15th June

R&B prospect, Jacquees is set to release his upcoming EP 4275 on a #newmusicfriday. The long awaited project features the likes of Chris Brown, Donell Jones, Young Thug and many… many more:

The artist is also expected to add fuel to the fire with a Chris Brown collaboration – We can’t wait for this one.
